I only guessed it was the plugs because that's exactly what I had on a Fiesta a while ago. I took the plugs out to do a compression test and when I put them back in it wouldn't run. Working on the basis that the plugs were the only thing I'd touched I put a new set in and away it went. I think the problem is that the plugs get very tight in the head and removing them damages them!
