Dont be too disillusioned when you cant identify a failing coil on a Renault. Even with Pico, it can be hard (if not impossible) to clearly identify the offending coil. This is due to the fact that they are wired in series (as discussed previously)

I cant offer any advise as to your Datsun question though. I am sure that the more experienced guys will have something useful to offer though. Just a thought..... You havent got an option to measure amps on that tool have you? make sure your settings are correct
