Hi Dave. Ive got the hang of (we'll sort of) the trace and what you should or should not be seeing. The problem I'm having is that when I connect the scope to a coil it seems to introduce a random misfire with a primary trace that has some occasional hash that seems loosely related to the misfire. As soon as I disconnect the tool the misfire stops. I cant decide if the misfire is on the cylinder I'm testing or the other cylinder thats in series with the one I'm testing. Any ideas???? I don't think its anything I'm doing but could well be wrong. Is it possible it could be the scope??? Anyone any idea's???
