I know, very strange! Dunno if you've experienced it yet but the 2.0 8v petrols in the mkiv golf/beetle etc suffer a similar thing. The MAF fails with only faults code stored for misfire on 1 or 2 cylinders. Makes them run really rough though.

One day I'll log all the data off both engines and make some sense of it, if sense can be made! lol
