I had all sorts of problems with a 206 CC which burnt out 2 coil packs booth of which were cheap aftermarket types.

Had ECU checked and came back with no faults. Replace coil pack and s/plugs with genuine items and car ran fine. Its 100£ fact that aftermarket coil packs just don't work with Peugeot's.
