Sorry Steve but I didn't pose that question very well. I get the bit about the bsi being wiped but just wanted to know if other scanners eg Sykes ACR or Solus Pro would then have the same result as Planet and not read the VIN. I am assuming that if the bsi has lost all its info the result would be just the same regardless of the tool used, but was trying to find out if anyone knows for sure. I realise this is probably a stupid question but if a jump start causes this then I don't think it will be long before I come across this problem. Regards, Bryan
