Year of Manufacture *: 03
Engine Size and Code *: 1.4 (NON_VVC)
( Optional ) Scanner Used: X431
( Optional) Fault Codes: See below
No spark or injection.
Numerous fault codes but suspect they are consequences/red herrings
Codes as follows, for information...
P0444 evap controll system purge O/C
P0122 throttle switch A low input
P0123 Throttle switch A high input
P0562 Low system voltage
P0563 High system voltage
P0340 Cam sensor fault
Codes once cleared did not return on cranking.
Crank sensor signal is good BUT....
There seems to be a 2 Volt bias on the crank sensor signal line. As a result, when cranking the signal does not drop below 0V. I am wondering if this is the problem (No zero crossing = no signal sensed). Autodata neither confirms nor denies the existance of a bias,
X431 does not indicate that the ECU is "Seeing" the crank signal during cranking(IE 0 rpm)
(Though this might not be reliable. I dont know for certain whether coms is maintained during cranking)
I am wondering if this might be the problem (IE Faulty ECU)
Has anybody else been down this particular road before??
