Obviously as there is no 5v supply to the ECT then that is the root of the fault, To prove that it is not the ECU plug at fault I have checked the 5v supply pin inside the ECU and there is no power to this pin, although there is a 5v supply from another pin that controls the MAP sensor. Assuming that the ECU provides a common 5v supply is it feasable to piggyback the supply from elsewhere, IE MAP sensor?
