Hi Ian,

Prove it with a bulb. First fit the bulb between 87 and earth, then road test.

If that proves you are right then fit a small bulb between 85 and 86 and test again, this will tell you what side of the relay is dropping out.

You could do the same with a scope and forget the bulbs, it's just what ever is easier for you.
