If I remember the set up right, you need to remove the throttle body and a valve bolted to the back of the inlet manifold for cleaning. (The throttle body splits to get right into the idle control valve)
Also check that the coolant running through the valves isnt blocked.
There is also a basic idle screw that can be adjusted.
Hope I am thinking of the right system.
