I am having a battle with an old Audi at the mo
It has no fault codes but has lost spark
Everything seems to have signals ok, but the hall sensor on the back of the n/s cam is giving a strange signal
with ignition on, it has a 12 volt supply and on pin 2 I get a steady 5 volt output, but on cranking this goes up to 6 volts and switches to 0.8 volts rather than ground.
If I add an extra ground it does improve the signal a bit, maybe switching down to 5v but it still wont switch down to where I would expect.
Anyone got a scope capture of one of these or had a similar problem ? I'm assuming this isnt supposed to be a floating earth ?
Another thing I notice is that there is no MIL light when ign on
