Hi all
my daughter has a 207cc with the 1.6 5FW VTi engine(same as mini) cut out in road and no restart
towed in to me and codes P0014 camshaft timing P0053 Ho2s heater resistance P0313 misfire with low fuel and P1340 cyl 4 misfire
also dash diplay messages,remote batt,economy mode active and oil
so i check cam timing and is out,so fit new chain kit. Car battery knackered so fit new one
carry out battery re-connection procedure and bsi reboot, syncronise key and still no start(cranks but will not fire, problem is the car is still displaying economy mode and oil warning, battery light is flashing and i cannot cancel the fault codes from the ECU.Can read data, A few basic tests later,got fuel pressure but no spark,but while i was cranking it it tried to fire, pulled out coils and fitted some plugs in them, cranked it for a while and it sparked for a second rev counter also moves when it sparks then stopped. Have substituted crank sensor and oil level sensor from my wife's car still same problems checked fuses, earths etc, unplugged ecu,
i thought it reverted to normal mode when battery voltage exceeded 12v. Does anyone know if oil warning shuts off spark?
