Re: Skoda Octavia No Throttle Operation

Taking Marks Line of thought, I begged a tested Ecu from another supplier that I know. Fitted the unit, checked the coding was correct, ran the throttle adaption and guess what the throttle opens when you put your foot on it, there were no fault codes to report. Now I was unable to code the unit to the immobiliser, so could not run the engine, so went back and cleared the codes on he old unit and tried the same thing on the old Ecu, this worked too the throttle adopted and worked with the ignition on, so starts up engine and lo and behold, the throttle does not work again, obviously there is something interfering with Ecu operation when the engine is running, reading fault codes again we now have the two throttle position sensor codes again, something to note perhaps is that both of the sensors on the throttle are reporting high voltage, this would seem to be highly improbable because measuring the voltage at the throttle pedal plug you get a very healthy 5 volt sensor supply, will have to get this engine running and start disconnecting sensors to see if any of them make any difference, this I think will be the final fling as time and patience are both running out.
