Based on the fact that the vehicle has been driving for the last so many years with the wiring as it was, I would say that it is correct.

If the codes were not there with the original ECU I would be looking at the ECU, Was it a NEW one from the main dealer or a second hand one that had the same hardware number?

Just my thoughts from looking at my crystal ball.
