Serviced this last week, 26k.
This week customer has an image of an oil can on central display matrix.
Customers description, it came on red then flashed along with a stop message.
The AA couldn't find any fault(or warning message)so followed car back to us.
No fault codes in engine or instrument.
No warning light or message since.
Also no oil light before engine start...is this right?
We used 5w30(as per suppliers catalogue) oil and Fram filter. No catalogue choices for spin on filter.
Looking at VCDS advanced measuring blocks there are a considerable number of fields for oil info in both ecu's.
Am I chasing my tail 'cause this engine needs a very specific oil?(not asked the dealer yet, they are shut now!).
Could this be yet another software glitch needing reflash to ecu's?
