It sounds a bit like a duff crank sensor, the ecu switches the fuel pump and coil on briefly when the ignition is turned on, and then there is no feed to the fuel pump or coil untill the ecu sees a crank sensor signal, it then switches the fuel pump relay on and puts power to the fuel pump and coil, Is your fuel pump running whilst cranking or does it just prime up. ??
