    Hi Shaun.. I wouldnt believe that for a minute re the tooth business.
    I have certainly seen them run with them several teeth out. I had one last summer where the serpentine belt had shredded, found its way into the cam belt, dislodged the cam belt and the inlet cam was a whole 1/4 of the way out... i would say about 10-15 teeth out.... but it still ran, albeit like a dog. So I would check that. Also do as Ray says, but a caution : DONT blow up the pipe whilst its connected to the ECU... that will blow the map sensor and then you are into ecu! ( sorry if you already knew that )
