Had one of these with the exact same symptoms
Only When driven at full load High RPM it would be like the ign was switched off.
After many hours at looking for power supply problems to no avail it turned out that changing the spark plugs fixed it...
The reason for it think is that the slight misfire prior to it cutting caused a voltage spike in the ECU and switched off for a few seconds
