Thanks for that Dave, must confess I didn't scope for multiple coil or fuel injector drives as scope set in capture mode to trigger one waveform. However had removed distributor and turned it with ignition on and was rewarded with (I think) sparks and fuel from injector along with a 'poof' out of the inlet manifold! Is my analysis correct regarding the compression test i.e. without the throttle open, that it's a mechanical problem. As I specialise in Engine Management Systems, if that's the case I feel the garage would consider I've done my bit. Regards, Nick Bell
