Hello Nick,thanks for your reply,i measured the voltage at the sensor as i connected it & it was dropping to zero volts.I measured the resistance of the sensor & applied vacuum with pump & it didn't vary the resistance at all over any of the pins so the sensor is duff unless it is digital frequency type which i don't think it is. I tried getting a sensor from Andrew Page ,but Steve couldn't get me one,but did tell me that he had spoke to a Proton technician who said that he normally taps the sensor to get it working again(it made no difference to this one).Anyway will try to order a new sensor tomorrow.Proton sensor is approx £85 + vat & the same one from Misubishi is £150 + vat.
