Hi Russel, Absolutely bang on, well done I beleieve Tony Sefton is donating a prize for the correct answer as I am all out of lucky bags. Why on earth they didn't spot no4 piston lower than the others I will never know because it was quite obvious once the head was removed. This job is still in progress but I hope to post some more piccys later on tonight when the engine is fully stripped. Some good answers coming from others including Gunner who was almost there and some good answers earlier on in the post about a reluctor problem going off the scope waveform. When the job is done I will post a good cam/crank waveform to finish the post. Thanks to all who took part and I hope you found it interesting and informative. Mike
