Thanks Sean , very interesting description, any more takers? Regards Roger. Well as there are no more thoughts and this is not a catch question, Sean you are spot on, the two traces on the left are indeed Bosch units, one original and a brand new genuine VW dealer supplied one, the trace on the right is the Fuelparts one, I`m sure I`m not the only one to be puzzled by Maf unit waveforms, I have had the classic down on power VW turbo diesels in VW and Seat form with a duff unit giving a near identical trace to a new one, to be honest the Fuelparts trace seems more logical and easy to follow, the initial surge as the throttle is floored, the drop in pressure and the steady rise to maximum airflow and sharply back down and final pickup by the idle speed control and gradual return to idle look to my simple brain very clear indeed, the massive amount of fluctuation/hash on the Bosch unit in comparison looks very confusing, how an ECU makes sense of that signal is beyond me ! I`d be pleased to see any other explanations. Best regards Roger.
