This one doesn't have the MAP sensor on the intercooler. You can see the cast markings where it would fit, but it hasn't been machined out for it. Apparently this variant uses a calculation from other load & flow sensors to arrive at boost pressure levels. I am sure Master Bamford has some good info on that
People keep suggesting about the cam timing & I keep putting it out of my mind because it runs so smooth & with 20 inhg at idle I just cant see it being that. Maybe I should go with the consensus.

Yes the exhaust has been dropped & a test run was no better (just noisier ) I had previously measured exhaust backpressure with a modified O2 sensor connected to the mitty.
I increased fuel pressure this morning by clamping the return hose & measuring it so that I could accurately produce a controlled 45 psi. It still feels crap on the road & the fuel pressure is maintained. I guess that it follows that the flow rate must be good too.
I am going to try an N75 anyway just to eliminate it.
