Thanks Chris and a special thanks to Peter. What a splendid answer. You gave me the kind of information I have been seeking for some time. The plug leads were faulty and there was a hole in the exhaust, thus the high Lambda and CO. Peter you said in your post that the HCs would be huge and that the CO would not be showing lean if there was an ignition misfire. Have you any idea why the CO was only at 0.7% and the HCs only at 200ppm when in fact the car had an electrical misfire. I would be interested to here your thoughts on that for the sake of future reference.Regards Eamonn
