VW Polo 1.4 AKK 2000 - Intermittent non start - Fixed #
Posted by Allan Davis on October 1, 2009, 9:41 pm This car came in for an intermittent non start fault (about a 1 in 5 success rate).Tests showed that when in the non start mode the power to the injectors ect. was absent and no comm. was possible with the ecu.I tested the main engine systems relay wires and the ecu lives and earths at both non start and running conditions and got the same results each time. The fault code stored was 01314 ecm no communications. I sent the ecu off for testing and it came back with no faults found. Since then the car will not start at all and no comms are possible with the ecu but in the immobiliser the code is there and returns after being cleared and trying to start the car.I have tested the ecu again and get battery voltage on pins 15 (ign)and 27 (batt) but only 10.5v on 26 (engine relay) the earth pins (28 and 2) are reading 0.9 ohms.
