Mercedes Benz S500 5.0 M115 2001 - Misfire, multiple misfire codes - Unresolved #

Year of Manufacture *: 2001
Engine Size and Code *: 4996 M113
( Optional ) ECU Type: Bosch 2.0
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Maxidas
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0303-86 P0130-15 P0150-130 P0305-82 P0306-85

Vehicle runs and drives fine but will start misfiring after reaching operating temperature
Replaced fuel pump fuel filter air mass sensor lambda sensors left and right 16 spark plugs plug leads crank shaft sensor and coils inlet manifold gaskets and injectors cleaned. Vehicle will start to misfire and show various P030 fault codes along with lambda sensor P0150-130 & P0130-15 code switch vehicle off and restart it will run fine for 50-100 miles although store codes until it misfires again.
Stored Codes are:
P0303-86 misfiring cyl 3
P0303-83 misfiring cyl 5
P0303-62 misfiring cyl 6
P0307-87 misfiring cyl 7
P0130-15 Right O2 sensor
P0150-130 Left O2 sensor
Looking for any ideas Please

Have you checked the rubber seal where the maf sensor fits onto the plastic elbow and also the seal from the elbow to manifold?Used to replace these on a regular basis as they go hard and brittle.Also i have found that these cars do not like non genuine parts,especially the ht leads.Just a few thoughts.

Hi Gerald,

What we don't know is if the misfire is ignition, fuelling or mechanically induced. You appear to have dealt with any possible ignition issues and I doubt if it is fuel related problem. Has this thing got hydraulic valves? A 4 gas reading may well point us down the correct diagnostic route.

No but have fitted new inlet manifold gaskets and checked all vacuum lines

Fuel pressure was low hence new pump and filter 3 bar on idle staying constant
Quality after-market bosch parts fitted
Full service history 123k fault started early December up til then ran fine

I have replaced the upper and lower seal on the elbow as you say they where very brittle also replaced the breather hoses as they where the same all replaced parts are Bosch or genuine mb

Put on the four gas and results where MOT pass looking at the valve stems with the manifolds off the looked very clean flushed and changed oil and filter just in case and had injectors cleaned ultra sonically

*Put on the four gas and results where MOT pass* Maybe. Any unusual Co2, Hc and o2 readings at idle would not be part of the MOT Test. Notwithstanding that, I am surprised that nothing untoward is showing whilst the misfire is in progress.
