My point is that you have got a very one eyed view of religion. It's Hackney and lazy. It's a view I shared at one time, until I met some actual real life religious people and was moved by their decency. Of course state religions have been repressive, that's what statesdo. It doesn't invalidate those who are moved to help others by their faith. The views you express remind me of those who write off socialism in its entirety because of Stalin and Pol Pot. The left seems to have entirely left the field regarding g religion, preferring to sneer rather than challenge the mega church hucksters of tbe right who now have e free rein. There are alot of people who support social justice because of what they see in Jesus's, but you'd rather snipe than welcome them in solidarity. It's a shame.
