We are all guessing with limited info available. Interestingly the MoA comment from where I pulled Pepe's comment, the first para said:

According to her academic profile she studied at SOAS and LSE universities in London.

The above points to an MI-6 involvement in the affair.

I am assuming BAC is the Hungarian Co mentioned in the tweet. See MoA comment No. 12:
