I suspect that 'Masterchef' has long been in the BBC's sights since it suffers from an unforgivable condition - it's hosted by two white straight guys. I've no doubt Kirsty Wark and pals will garner Wallace's scalp and he'll be replaced probably by an ultra-camp gay man, the BBC having no interest in non-camp gay men.
And here's the thing - on those shows where a presenter is ultra-camp, there's usually quite a lot of sexual innuendo in the banter. Object to that as 'unprofessional' or find it embarassing and you'll be denounced as a nasty, vile homophobic bigot. See how it works?
