Something I noticed with both this interview, and Richard Medhurst when he was talking about his experience, was how it was clear they had never had anything to do with the pigs and were relating completely standard treatment and conditions as if they were something that would scare the spine out of Solzhenitsyn.

That said, the liberal (in both senses) use of this ridiculously vague Terror Act is a massive story and is being almost completely ignored by the corporate media. Also, I would have liked to ehar more about what he seemed to be claiming about the old bill getting stuck in to a lot of the protestors; he made a quick allusion to it (them beating the guy with the broken leg, which in itself needed explaining, presumably it was in a cast) then seemed to move on.

As ususal, the switch sides thought experiment tells the tale; just imagine if it was Russia doing this...
