Ta for that Shyaku. Without going back into the video, from memory, I was under impression that the oil man made a claim that the pipeline was 'secret' i.e. he knew about it but others didn't.

From the detailed entries in the wiki it is fairly obvious that this pipeline was well known in the oil business, so perhaps his claim that it was 'secret' is a bit of a misnomer.

I mean this was pioneering work from 1937 or whatever .. and they even applied cathodic protection later on, one of the first in the business.

I'd still like to read his book since I find referring to the video too much hassle. I worked on some major pipelines so it is kinda professional interest.
