The measure of sincerity in belief is not evidence. The test of sincerity is behaviour. People handle venomous snakes sincerely believing, without evidence, that heir faith will protect them. Faith is what transcends evidence, and it does so sincerely. And Remainiacs do have evidence in the form o opinion polls suggesting swing voters would switch. There is no need to argue here that that this kind of evidence is feeble. But you have to be able make that case if you are arguing inside the Labour Party, which is full of good people - not bad faith Blairites - who believe that the Referendum was lost because of a lie on the side of a bus etc. Yougov is seen as evidence that all those misguided small town hicks have already seen the error of their choice.gb
