istly no such entity as 'the Kurds' exists, except in imperial imagination, what has Murray Bookchin to do with Kurds?
the most famous Syrian Kurd is of course Ahmad Kuftaro whose successor speaks here to well known young lady, who has taken the trouble to learn Arabic
and just out of" one can't know everything" interest here is Sh. Kuftaro (he is rather famous) referring to an incident recorded in our history of a great leader man being humiliated by a woman labourer, till he remarked "I am fortunate that an ignoramus like me has such wise congregants every one of you could teach me" Umar ibni al Khattab.
You may not see the significance of all this but you could try Ibram X Kendi: "Stamped From the beginning"
Speculation is always fun when you don't have to commit to anything, Syria must be destroyed and Hassoun is clear as to why. Kuftaro was once asked by a visitng western diplomat "How many Christians are there in Syria" He replied "In Syria we are all Christians and I am the Mufti of all of them"
but one can never really know can one, but one could probably do better WV by actually knowing just a little.
as Syrians are wont to chant "one one one the Syrian people are one"
