Note in particular the low, low energy input required for forest-perma, compared to the simply unsustainable, vast energy demands of annual-tillage big-machine agri. This will now become THE decisive factor in changing the way food, fuel, fibre, etc. are produced in the future. Peak energy hasn't gone away; it's just become unfashionable amongst the chatterati - temporarily...!
