In saying people should create bottom up solutions to problems caused by globalisation I was exactly talking about communities and localism. In hard times you need to rely on communities. No one can be all "I'm alright Jack" if they aren't alright to begin with!
Nor am I saying globalisation is some sort of end of history. The tide comes back in but it also goes back out again! Which is why people should circumvent globalisation by creating their own solutions and not relying on the tide of global finance to wash up some stuff to scavenge on.
