I'm afraid I very much doubt that the UK is about to make it up with Assad, as it is currently involved in the biggest cover-up over its support for both WH terrorists and IS. The pretence that a) the UK was there it fight IS, and b) that otherwise IS would come back to bite us, is both a lie and incredibly hubristic. What about the tens of thousands of Syrian civilians and defending soldiers IS armies slaughtered, in Palmyra or in the south around Dara'a or in Idlib in its "al Qaeda" version? And what an irony that the "opposition" just claimed that the main hospital in Khan Shaikoun was attacked, causing the deaths of some "rescue workers"! This was following the launching of a new major push towards Hama by HTS, repelled by the SAA and Russian bombers.
