This is the sad truth, one wants to like them, but it's so hard. Corbyn and the people around him are second rate. After almost half a century of attacks on the left from Thatcherism, perhaps that's to be expected. For all his faults, Arthur Scargill had balls and a brain. He was articulate and intelligent. Born into a different family he could have been the PM himself. But it's hard to think of anyone on the left worth a candle over the last thirty or forty years.
