https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/apr/02/wholesale-slaughter-of-brexit-continues-eu-papers-reach-for-the-apocalyptic These are some of the more positive, conservative, anglo-phile views from within Europe. Heaven knows what they really think in private. And maybe it doesn't even matter to people in the UK, who seem blissfully unaware of how deeply integrated the UK economy and businesses are with the rest of Europe and how disruptivr a hard Brexit will be. Not only that, one needs to appreiate that Brexit, the divorce, was supposed to be the 'easy' part! The real trouble will start about the far bigger problems associated with the future relationship to Europe and how much more difficult that'll be now that so much 'bad blood' has been so recklessly, stupidly and unecessarily created. Not only that, the Europeans have seen how truly hoplelessly incompetent the British ruling elite really is, and that will make the future negotiations even harder and more painful. The worst thing is those people who voted for Brexit and a deal that was never going to happen, will probably chose to blame the EU foreigners for the fiasco and not the Tory government and certainly not their own lack of knowledge about the EU and what the costs of their nostalgia for a UK that no longer exists, the real twilight zone, as going to be.
