Once the Tories took over BREXIT in its entirety, the referendum and the negotiations, it was a foregone conclusion that the result was going to be a disaster. This could all have been avoided if there had been a cross-party commission appointed to undertake these negotiations. This would have included a period of consultation with, well everyone really… Politicians, Unions, Business, Joe and Joanne Bloggs etc… before anyone was sent anywhere near Brussels. As it is we are stuck with the current situation. I don’t think however that the majority of BREXITERS will blame the Europeans (having spoken with quite a few). The EU have made their position perfectly clear on scores of occasions; every day on the News in actual fact. People can see where the blame lays. And do you know what? I don’t think we’ll get to leave anyway. The series of indicative votes over the last 2-weeks have been evidence of this… the establishment are tying themselves in knots in order to stay in; they never wanted to leave! It’s great just to watch the Tories implode. And as far as the reputation of this country is concerned, that was flushed down the bog years ago with Iraq; we are a war criminal state in self-distruct and I guess most countries won’t really give a toss.
