That's it, he's a write-off for me now, I don't care if he calls Chelsea Manning a hero, insults Netenyahu or gives airtime to the left-wing case for Brexit. The way he's lined up with the graun PC-brigade to throw Assange under the bus here is just ... unforgivable and incredibly nasty. What a tool. Watch the opening segment here, but prepare to get angry: When you compare it to Lee Camp's impassioned, in-depth defense of Assange and Wikileaks (see MikeD's thread below) it's appalling to see how degraded 'radical' comedy has become in the UK. The lock-down on meaningful dissent in the corporate press has a lot to answer for, but where are the comics making use of the alternative, independent media and firmly stepping out of the establishment consensus?
