It should have been discouraged as a rape joke, period. "If Boyle had made a similar remark about a woman, or lesbian, being subjected to a violent sexual attack in prison, people on the left and others, would have been outraged and his carerr might never have recovered. Only Assange, a tired and beaten-down prisoner, a weakened and isolated dissident, is seen as fair game for ridicule. " Ifaboutery. Boyle fashioned his media career charge out of hugely distasteful jokes about disabilities.
