Yes, I thought so too. It is far better (for Assange) that these charges are made public before his extradition trial then after he has been extradited to the US. It looks so draconian, British judges may now feel disinclined to send JA there. I wonder what game the Americans are playing, as they must be aware of this. Or perhaps they don't give a damn how they're perceived. Like that awful Bolton who says whatever comes in his head.
