Excellent commentary Margo. You always dig in to the central core of things. Thought of you in SA earlier. The BBC was promoting a report from Blikkiesdorp on murder and gun violence there. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-africa-49130395/cape-town-tourist-hotspot-where-eight-people-are-murdered-a-day They were revelling in it as if a visit there is a spectator sport. The living conditions do sound terrible. Tin huts made from tin sheet that can be cut with scissors. I wondered if the content of the report was factual or much exaggerated. As I write, the BBC News is on and there was an item about Meghan and the Vogue rot. |
