It also doesn't answer the main question that I look for an answer to - do the military boffins and intel operatives REALLy think that they are trying to counter Russian disinformation? Not a chance. I mean there could theoretically be some really dumb cold-war era ideologues among them, but the architects of these operations know what they're doing. Hedges doesn't believe they think this, and I'm assuming Elmaazi doesn't either, though I don't know anything about him and he unfortunately left this ambiguous in the interview. But I don't think it's out of date at all. The operations continue, the vast majority of the population knows nothing about them, and Willamson seems to be still reaping the consequences of trying to publicly expose them. Great that Klarenberg is writing about it too...the more the better!
