Good article. I remember the day, and the days immediately after the Iraq invasion started. The Fraudian-online took the view that now it had happened we must support our side - and not just passively, but noticeably packaging and reporting transparently synthetic stories of battle with an 'officer-level' tone. The Times-online, meanwhile, published a brutal description of the attack on either Najaf or Nasariyah (I don't recall which), including the reporter's discovery of dead civilians in a ditch that included a headless child corpse that would hever have made it into the Fraudian. That was 2003.
