Deaths of millions of people, that would be...as opposed to billions of animals!? That not being part of the reckoning suggests animals count zero on the scale. "What is happening around you" includes the history of the food on your plate. It's not a competition, some of us can do a bit of multi-tasking. You can pretty much stop harming animals directly with very little effort; if anything the effect on wider political resistance is bound to be positive. Plus there's a bonus of being genuinely more compassionate towards others, not just those regarded with political favour. |
