Evil wins when good men stay silent. I'm not judging the man but his capacity to stay silent on so many things where he should not. And one man as leader who bows to hundreds under him for fear of backlash in a political system that favours the rich is false hope, and yet more disappointment for the poorest and dispossessed, both here and in places imperialist war has and will continue to ravage. And if you want to know how the largest part of the U.K. Feels, I would say it can be summed up in perhaps one word: disappointed. Because for a while many thought he might perhaps be the beacon of light needed to turn things around. At best, if he gets in (who knows?) it will be more of the same, but back to Tory lite. This is something I think a lot of the more comfortable don't get; whether it's the tories or nulabour (which it still is even with corbyn at the helm), the poorest continue to suffer. No money or prospects is not a thing that can tangibly be reduced. The difference between the two (one) parties is a cigarette paper, but one is a cheap rizla and the other liquorice flavoured. They both still kill with their contents. The people it will affect tangibly is the higher classes. The rest have already lost just about everything. I honestly don't think it's a relatable thing to those who have some cash lying about. I'm not advocating not voting. I just won't be caring too much about the result. Either way, we're screwed and for that reason I'm not advocating voting either. It's a distraction, a circus, and despite all the thoughts floating about on what it means to the poor, most don't actual care about that. The real underlying platform is as Johnson suggested, brexit. Another thorn that is I think disappointing to the majority. A clear majority vote where it became clear to many that democracy is only adhered to if its the right answer. No wonder many are despondent. All that said, as I said earlier, in my area I still would rather the local labour mp because she is a decent and proactive individual. But individuals do not make the party. And the party is the beast that runs the country's big decisions.
