JC came out of nowhere, on the back of OMOV, stunning the establishment LP (Progress, Blairite etc.). Nationalisation of the utility assets is on the cards now, if elected. I'll take it, if on offer. I suggest he/his cabinet, left the foreign policy to 'others' for now. The art of possible. The activists within the LP have to take the mantle of pushing for further changes. Not sure how at the mo since Momentum has gone rogue. I am figuring it out. You say: Unfortunately if that has to wait til after the election it takes the winds out of the sails of the idea we get to vote for anything but a personality You are coming out of nowhere with this : ). Humour me. One could be very eager and expect to have everything in place. How eager is that person? Apparently not particularly enthusiastic, if the winds were taken out of his/her sails over (say) foreign policy. At the same time that person has apparently an idea-fixe based on personality. Not at all, I (for example) voted for policies and got JC. It seems LP, in aggregate, has moved so far to the right they lost touch, and as shown, the members were much more on the left. At least there was one guy there, in a small group in the corner, that spoke up for the policies we all wanted. I know you have a different idea of how we should organise politically, however, so far, although I agree with many things you say and do respect your views, I haven’t seen anything that practically enthuses me to change my current trajectory. Take care
