Not sure what the narrative is that doesn't fit. One was that jc sabotaged himself. Another was that fptp and gerrymandering significantly affects outcomes. another was the non vote: if you don't vote at all those left win the vote. So knowing how many voted, in electorates that lost or didn't gain a labour vote and the link between the two seems important. My suspicion is that tories won big because a lot of disillusioned voters either didn't vote or voted for someone else other than labour or tories. But I don't know that, and ATM I think nor does anyone else, but everyone seems to think that Tory got more actual votes. There's also the possibility that the election was corrupt; there was after all a lot of international (us) influence riding on outcomes.
