You could take a look through the archives here, it might show some decent argument that would show you how dissent from the norm was handled here. With a few exceptions, ignored or ridiculed and that's been going on for the past few years. And the messages post election matched pre election. As for being insensitive, people probably need their sensitivities to match realities, and we might get further. I think there's too much weight constantly put on election results which sap people's energies for more worthy pursuits, like civil disobedience, real protest etc. Much as people like to think it, in our stressed and difficult lives there's only so much time to devote to other things, and if the thing we choose is flogging dead horses, when our arms get tired we've got nothing left. |
